In early 2013, I brought together a team of educators, scientists, and illustrators to tell stories of science. Soon thereafter, Myrmex: A Comic Ant-Thology was born.
This project seeks to harness the educational power of art and science, and to showcase where, when and how scientists perform their research. While textbooks often fail to provide relevant context for scientific inquiry, art and stories can engage learners in the excitement of science exploration.
As director of this project, I recruited and managed all team members, designed the funding and development timeline, and partnered with schools to distribute the comic.
